Mr. McGrath’s Class

     Hi! My name is Barin McGrath and I have been teaching at Ocean Knoll Elementary for six years now. This year I am teaching a Fifth/Sixth grade combo class. It will be a challenge, but I am looking forward to it. I can tell that we have a wonderful class already! We will learn so many fun things and have a fantastic year.  I promise.

     I live in Carlsbad with my wife, Michelle, and my two kids, Caleb and Miriam. Caleb is now three years old and Miriam is a year and a half. Wow time sure flies by! As you may imagine, they keep us pretty busy. We also are expecting our third child in March.

     On the weekends I enjoy playing with my kids, listening to music, reading, writing, and watching NBA basketball. My favorite team is the Sacramento Kings (I know, you probably like the Lakers ). I also like to go camping, but we haven’t been recently because the kids are so young. In addition to all of the things listed above, I love a nice cup of coffee.
