Spelling/Vocabulary: Prefixes & Roots

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

This week we would like to do something different by having you list one word that contains each prefix/root. For example, you could use the word universe for the prefix uni-. Another example of this would be; bio: biofeedback.

Type your answers in the comments. Be creative and use a dictionary if you can’t find a word.

New Spelling / Vocabulary

Monday, February 11th, 2008

This week we are doing something different. Instead of writing sentences, I want you to select five words (spelling words) and write their definition from your dictionary. You can get extra credit if you give me some examples of similes and metaphors. You will get a paper for the raffle jar if you participate.

Good luck!
