Mr. McGrath’s Class

This will be just like last week. I will post three clues about a famous American on here. You must do research to uncover the identity of this person. Once you solve the mystery, write a short paragraph stating the following things:

1.)  Person’s name

2.)  When they were born and when they died (even if I told you this as a clue)

3.)  Where they lived most of their lives

4.)  Why they are famous (2-3 sentences)

5.)  One thing you admire about them

If you aren’t quite sure you found the right person, you can ask me in the comments before you write your paragraph. You will get one or two pieces of paper to put in the raffle jar, depending on the quality of your paragraph. I suggest that you write it first in Microsoft Word, and then cut and paste it into the comments section. That way you can spell check your work! Have fun!

Person #1 will be posted sometime between now and tomorrow.

Clue #1  This person was born in 1884.

Clue #2 This person was born in New York City and then died there.

Clue #3 This person was a pioneer. This person was the First to do many things.

Bonus Clue: This person was married to someone very famous at the time.
