Solar System Project Instructions and Rubric
Solar System Project due February 6
As a culminating activity, choose one of the following:
- Make a scale model of the solar system, including the sun, all planets, and their moons. This can be in any form (2-dimensional or 3-dimensional) and may be made with any materials you choose. Include a brief report with a paragraph about the sun and each of the planets. Be sure to include a bibliography.
- Create a PowerPoint with a title page slide, as well as slides for each planet and the sun. The final slide should be a bibliography listing your resources (where you got the information and pictures for your PowerPoint).
- Design a poster of the solar system. Include captions with relevant information for each planet and the sun. Be sure to include a bibliography.
- Create a picture book about the solar system. There should be text on each page describing the sun and planets, as well as any other relevant features. Be sure the final page contains your bibliography.
- Make a song about the solar system. You may put it to the tune of a popular song or create your own tune. It must include the sun and all planets, important information about each, and other relevant information about the solar system. Be prepared to perform it for the class.
